Spark R&D unveils what’s coming up for the 2018-19 season at the ISPO Munich tradeshow. The splitboard bindings manufacturer from Montana, USA, has tweaked some of their products in order to improve their performance and durability, while adding two high-end bindings to their line-up.
One of the biggest updates is the injection molded touring brackets made of self-lubricated nylon for a smoother touring experience. These will come with all the ARC and SURGE models. The Ibex crampons get some redefinement aswell by making one of them slightly smaller than the other so you can nest them easily and take way less space than what they used to.
Now for 2018-19 are also the PRO versions of their ARC and SURGE bindings, a lighter and stronger version of their standard models. A high-end bindings for those looking for the best performance, featuring carbon filled nylon on the highback and custom-made aluminum hardware.
And not to forget the hardboot community, Spark R&D offers now their own tech toe piece, made 100% in-house in Bozeman, Montana. It features already the screw pattern for three holes so there’s no need for an adaptor anymore. Also, the dyno DH features a couple of updates to make them lighter and stronger.
