Jones Snowboards news from ISPO 2018

The man himself Jeremy Jones unveils what’s coming up for the 2018-19 season from Jones Snowboards at the ISPO Munich tradeshow. Jones has been the biggest splitboard manufacturer for years and for next season there are two additions to their line-up: Mind Expander split and Mountain Twin split .

Nothing less than twelve splitboards are the backbone of Jones Snowboards’ next year line-up. The manufacturer that has probably pushed splitboarding into the widest ranges of audience offers a solid collection designed to fulfill the expectations of any splitboarder out there. Pro or beginner, man or woman, adult or youth, powder seeker or alpinist-like, there’s a splitboard for you. Hats off to Mr. Jones and his team for an incredible work and progression over the years.

Besides the already tried-and-tested collection, some models are being expanded with more sizes. That’s the case of the Dream Catcher, awarded in the annual Splitboard Magazine test Most Versatile of the women’s boards, now offered in 145, and the Storm Chaser that will be availble in 152 and 157.  Regarding new models for next year comes the Mind Expander split, a favorite snowboard after only line year in the collection now available as splitboard, and the Mountain Twin split, one of the first splitboards in the Jones collection back in the day that comes back by popular demand. Two different shapes, but very playful at the same time.

But Jones Snowboards is not only about boards. The new DSCNT series  backpacks have been redesigned from scratch, improving the already existing backpacks. Three sizes 19liters, 25 liters and 32liters, including one model R.A.S. compatible. Available for next year there will be also poles (carbon and standard) with 3-years warranty, and safety gear like shovel and probe. These items follow Jeremy’s principles: simple, strong and weight sensitive.

Definitely a proof that Jones is becoming, if it’s not already, the biggest backcountry gear manufacturer for splitboarders.
