From Chile, AmaNacer is a short-film that digs deeply into healing through self-improvement and pushing oneself further on the mountain.
“AmaNacer” means “Love being Born” and it’s a pun that plays with the word Amanecer, which means Sunrise in Spanish.
Do you feel the heat of the Sun right now while you read this?
Imagine the Sun again… … its rays shine on top of your back, between your shoulder blades, and the heat keeps increasing from behind your shoulders, heating up the back of your head.
Now, I invite you to imagine the Sun again, as it warms up, feel the Sun while you exhale with your eyes closed for 5 seconds.
¡Here! Thank you for trying, ¿How was it?
We hope that you experienced at least a subtle feeling, which is also the purpose of this film.
This short-film featuring splitboarders Antonia Galmez and Francisca Navarro, filmed by cinematographer Xabier Azcarate, invites us to get out there and feel the sun’s light on our body.
Especially when we lack energy, motivation, eagerness, warmth and a myriad of feelings related to this light, which can positively morph our day and help us heal.
However, if you can’t get out there, you can always picture the light inside of you, close to your heart.
Xabier, through Andes Cinema, captures many emotions and amazing landscapes of the Chilean region of Maule, in the Andes mountain range, and he never fails to amaze.
In order to film in the best snow conditions, four different camping trips were planned. They found extreme Fall drought, the best deep powder, and everything in between.
AmaNacer stems from Fran, Anto and Xabi’s will to share positive sensations which encourage personal healing, focusing on the body, thus being able to endure the darkest days of our lives with love. But don’t worry, it’s only normal…
We’ve all woken up grudgingly on a random day, haven’t we? In the city, or on the mountains. As a child, or as an adult.
We invite you to watch this beautiful project and to spread the message:
Heal with your own energy and the Sun’s benefits, remember that you’re the carrier of your own light!
With love, Anto, Xabi, Fran.
