Last month of March, the Covid-19 was starting to be part of our daily routine, but nothing could have told us that our lives were about to go through one of the worst crisis in terms of health, economy and social of our recent history.
Just like every Spring in the last 8 years, we had everything ready for the Splitboard Magazine annual test, where we would spend over a week testing most of the splitboards available in the market.
Furthermore, Tavascan was welcoming us with the best conditions in the last years after a week of generous snowfall, coming from a very dry winter. A good bunch of boards, prime conditions in an unmatchable terrain and a super motivated team eager to squeeze every different shape to give you the best conclusions.
But after the first day, lockdown arrived, making us postpone the test, waiting for the whole situation to improve. Those were days full of uncertainty, and with time it just became the reality that we have been facing for a while already. As a result, we were forced to cancel the annual test, and wait for next Spring to do the 2021-22 test.
As usual, we’d like to thank the huge support from the manufacturers that year after year believe in our project.
Make sure you check our gear guide, where you would find the best products to take your splitboarding to the next level. Choose wisely.
