Last month of March, Tavascan welcomed us again for our annual splitboard test. We gathered again a huge selection of boards that are already available in the market for this 19/20 season.
Last season was pretty much low tide in our home mountains, the Pyrenees. It did start well with a couple of cold fronts in late October for the Eastern part that led us to believe that it could be a great season, however all of these thoughts were wrong and December, January and February were the driest in decades.
The weather has been very nice to us all these previous years and we have been able to enjoy a lot of epic days to test the boards. It has not been like that for this last season, so we really had to work hard to squeeze every board in the conditions we had. However, we are grateful to see how the equipment is evolving year after year steadily with new materials, new shapes and new constructions so every rider can find the right board for their needs.
Last but not least, we’d like to thank again all the manufacturers that keep supporting us year after year. Welcome to the biggest independent splitboard test. We wish you an epic season!

This post just got me in the mood to pull out my splitboards I’ve been putting to dust for a year. I was so excited to afterall find the perfect snowboard store for me. I chose Telos and got my favorite style customized for me. I remember the struggle choosing one when I could buy all mountain freestyle board from such a variety and I guess it’s time to put them to use now.
