Yes Optisplitstic 2021/22

We’re not ones to make apologies for showing up late to a party. For us to release a splitboard, it had to be the right time and with the right people behind it. Taking the powerful and versatile outline of our Optimistic, sizing it for the needs of our team and partners at Eagle Pass Heli was the first step to making this program legit. We then designed and developed a simple (read: reliable), lightweight clip system with our friends at Spark R&D® that maintains the torsional integrity of the solid Optimistic so that after that long, leg-burn up to your line, you can rip down it with uncompromising confidence.

Like the Optimistic – the solid board it’s based on, the split version also uses UnderBite technology: the edge is moved back a couple of millimeters right by the bindings to make turning and pressing on the edges easier, resulting in an excellent control when riding on the edge. The combination of directional, setback, tapered tail shape and a generous nose width provide excellent floatability in deep snow. On the other hand, traditional camber and significantly stiff flex and torsion require some serious pressing from the rider’s feet to make the most of the board’s performance potential. It has to be one of the most solid boards we have tested so far, hands down one of the most versatile boards we’ll find on the market. Oriented towards advanced riders looking for a weapon they can absolutely rely on.
