The Descender Fjäderlätt is an ultra lightweight splitboard. For the one’s not familiar with the swedish language, Fjäderlätt means featherlight, a name we felt appropriate as the 161 weighs in at just 2790 grams. It’s a split targeting big mountain touring where lowest possible weight in combination with a stiffer flex is essential. After the fantastic reception of the Descender splitboard, racking up none less than four “editors choice/selection” awards from titles like Splitboarding Journal, Backcountry Magazine, Splitboarding Magazine and Fall Line Magazine, we decided to up the game with our most technically advanced board so far. Descender Fjäderlätt is a directional freeride board with enough tail to allow for switch landings and with enough power to charge big lines. This splitboard has no speed limit and is aiming for best in class performance. Power Bumps™ at the inserts for ultimate grip and security in critical situations boost your level of confidence.

And here is the BEST LIGHTWEIGHT 2023 splitboard. At 2580 g for the 161cm length (manufacturers stated target weight 2790 g) this board has been developed to take your riding as far as you want. It’s the perfect tool for those days when weight and an optimized performance are they to reach your goal. Beside the lightness provided by its full carbon construction, the Descender Fjäderlätt boasts a very generous traditional camber from tail to nose and a very stiff flex. It’s surely the perfect combination for long missions where you could come across any kind of snow conditions. Based on the Descender, 2022 EDITOR’S CHOICE by Splitboard Magazine, it is a directional freeride splitboard, really fast from edge-to-edge, solid and really reactive when you expect fast, aggressive riding. It also requires quite a lot of work to tame its stiff torsion when riding short turns at low speed. However, it feels quite reliable when leaning on the tail on steep terrain and variable snow conditions, where maximum precision and edge hold are required. A solid, reliable and extra light splitboard highly recommended for experienced riders looking for the ultimate tool to take their riding as far as they wish.
