The shape of the all-new K2 Isolator Splitboard pays homage to our best-selling Volume Shift™ model, the Excavator, the K2 Isolator Splitboard is an all-gender tool that was built to get you deep into the backcountry…where the good stuff is. We’ve taken a proven shape, sidecut, and camber profile and made adjustments to bring the Isolator to life. We’ve added our ICG™ 10 carbon-fiberglass hybrid for snap, a lightweight split-specific core, and Karakoram UltraClips™ to ensure that the Isolator rides more like a solid snowboard than any other split on the market.

The Isolator is the most outstanding new addition to K2 Snowboards splitboard catalog for this season. Based on the K2 Excavator and its property Volume Shift ™ technology, the Isolator allows the rider to opt for a shorter board than his usual board length -between 4 and 10 cm –without losing floatability while gaining maneuverability. With a very generous waist width – splitboarders with big feet, this one is for you- even it is a super fun board to ride in groomers, it is most at home on powder. It is impressive how swiftly it goes from edge to edge despite the fat waist, and it feels intuitive, easy to ride as well as reliable and solid when riding on the edges at high speed thanks to its directional shape and traditional camber. Definitely an amazing all-round board to enjoy carving in your local resort while waiting for the next dump. Recommended for riders that seek beyond traditional shapes looking to add to their quiver a board to enjoy a different type of riding.
