Jones Storm Chaser 2022/23
The ultra-wide waist width maximizes the float of the shortened running length and the Surf Rocker profile pops the nose out of the snow when you step on the gas. The Storm Chaser’s short sidecut will have you ripping tight tree runs like a GS course on even the deepest days. The unique shape is matched with Inner/ Outer Traction Tech 1.0 edges for enhanced grip on icy skintracks or firm descents and the Boltless Bridge plus Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0 and Tip-Lock Tip Clips for unmatched torsional board connection in ride mode. For a lively board feel, the Storm Chaser Split features a Control Split Core, and an ultra fast and durable Sintered 8000 base.

The Storm Chaser is one of the splitboards we were really looking forward to ride, and once we did, we can put it very simply: this board should be part of your quiver. We’re thinking mostly of those days when it’s dumping at sunrise, avalanche risk is off the hook, and your only option is to do short laps in your favorite forest. That’s exactly the kind of day where the Storm Chaser will have you smiling big time. A board that’s rapid, light, really easy to control in dense, powder-loaded forests, thanks to the generous rockered nose and an easy to bounce on swallow-tail you can press on while you’re trying to get out of the white room, already searching for the next slash. We can also picture it on curvy open-fields and playful terrain where you can get creative. Even more so, we know you’ll have a blast on it carving on the edge on perfect corduroy. Hands down, one of the greatest pow surfs we have tested so far. Thus, we decided it is worthy of our BEST POW SURF 2023.
