Cold Smoke Voodoo 2019/20

We’ll let the results do the talking. In recent years, the Voodoo has twice received Backcountry Magazine’s coveted Editors’ Choice award. A directional, big-mountain slayer, the Voodoo doesn’t sacrifice weight for durability; this is one of the toughest splitboards on the market, but still nimble enough for hair-raising couloirs. Fast and agile with ideal flex both lengthwise and in the torso make this board tons of fun in any conditions.

Known for being trustworthy in the steepest, most treacherous terrain and light enough for all-day slogs. The Voodoo’s shovel nose and early rise make floating through the deepest of powder a breeze. “Stiff tip to tail, with midrange torsional play, the Voodoo crushes pow, steeps, glades and groomers,” a Backcountry Magazine tester said.  The Voodoo uses Phantom Snow Industries Hercules Hooks.

The Voodoo is a splitboard with a classic directional shape. Thanks to its rockered nose and a great balance between flex and torsion, it performs very well on any kind of terrain. Stiff longitudinally but with a sweet torsion that makes it a solid and stable board but easy to go from edge to edge. One of the most agile splitboards of the test for sure. Furthermore, every splitboard is handmade in a small garage in Crested Butte, Colorado, and that’s an added value for us.
