Borealis Koi 2022/23
859,00 €
The Koi has never ceased to attract new aficionados. The split version was introduced two years ago. It was created to excel in the deepest snow conditions and to challenge other boards of its category for its amazing trench-digging abilities on hard snow. With its classic Japan-influenced look and organic feel, the Koi remains a pillar in the Borealis line, representing both our love for nature and beautiful timeless shapes.

The Koi is the type of all-round surf shaped splitboards that we really dig at Splitboard Magazine, and one of the splitboards we most enjoyed this last test. It boasts the perfect rocker – traditional camber combo, designed to provide excellent floatability on powder days, and max edge control, both on groomed slopes and variable snow conditions. The ultimate splitboard to move like a fish in the water in the forest, as well as on powder-loaded open fields or carving like a pro. Looking at its shape, it’s easy to guess a fabulous performance and an exceptional floatability on powder. However, it’s most surprising riding groomers, where it feels agile, utmost stable, solid and reactive, and it’s steered with fluidity. It is decidedly a versatile splitboard to add to your quiver if you are looking for a max of float on powder and excellent overall performance: carving on groomed slopes or any other type of terrain and conditions you are likely to find out there.
