Clément Bochatay has helped us develop and tweak our line year after year, testing our gear in the most extreme conditions. After several seasons on the Freeride World Qualifier, he qualified in 2017 for the mighty Freeride World Tour. The new Alpine Split is our latest collaboration with Clément, a board that meets his needs as a big mountain rider but which also allows him to send some nice tricks between two rocky ledges. Its distinctive directional-twin shape allows you to hover in deep powder and ride switch. The subtle progressive radii shifting from effective edge to the contact points combined with mild Sidewaves bring incredible grip and powder on edge, without creating drag or discomfort. A solid big mountain split that stays versatile-enough for BC freestyle and comfortable piste-cruising.

The Borealis Alpine Pro holds on to the throne of BEST BIG MOUNTAIN 2023 splitboard for yet another season. As a board developed to enjoy great big days on big mountains, the Alpine Pro is born from the collaboration with French freerider Clément Bochatay, and it clearly reflects what we can expect from a splitboard focused on riding big lines with confidence. Having said this, looking at its nose, we can see a much more versatile shape that we would have thought to begin with. Its directional twin shape- setback 20 mm-, traditional camber and rocker under the nose and the tail make up a board that performs really well in all sorts of terrains and conditions. The Alpine Pro is a super solid, stable board at high speed on gnarly terrain and irregular snow, a feature that would have you thinking mostly of big lines. However, it is a most polyvalent agile splitboard, which also allows you to approach the mountain in a more creative way. The Sidewaves -smooth disruptions along the sidecut, provide that extra control and edge hold, turning it into a perfect splitboard to ride the most exposed lines. Recommended for advanced riders and solid, aggressive riding.
