Borealis Alpine 2021/22

Clément Bochatay has helped us develop and tweak our line year after year, testing our gear in the most extreme conditions. After several seasons on the Freeride World Qualifier, he qualified in 2017 for the mighty Freeride World Tour. The new Alpine Split is our latest collaboration with Clément, a board that meets his needs as a big mountain rider but which also allows him to send some nice tricks between two rocky ledges. Its distinctive directional-twin shape allows you to hover in deep powder and ride switch. The subtle progressive radii shifting from effective edge to the contact points combined with mild Sidewaves bring incredible grip and powder on edge, without creating drag or discomfort. A solid big mountain split that stays versatile-enough for BC freestyle and comfortable piste-cruising.

Borealis has collaborated with French rider Clément Bochatay, making a statement and giving us a hint of what we can expect from this board. The Alpine is a perfect board to think big, offering the confidence required to ride lines where zero is the margin for error. It has been designed for big mountain riders looking to ride highly exposed terrain. A board that demands speeding up our riding to be able to maximize all the qualities it has on offer due its stiff flex and torsion. The twin directional shape provides an all-aroundness which is essential both to riding deep powder and displaying a full list of tricks out there. A board developed for advanced level, highly committed riders.
