One of the highlights of the ISPO Munich trade show for the season 2014-15 is a new splitboard specific bindings system made by the french brand Plum.
It’s a complete new system fully made in the French Alps, which with a simple mechanism pull the two halves of the board against each other to create a very tight connection. By actioning a lever on the side one can switch from tour to ride mode very quickly, while it also features a system to lock the heel if you need to.
This system is designed to be used with gloves out in the backcountry thanks to its big lever. The binding is not the final version as it will get some improvements that will shave some weight of the heelcup, and make the pieces more precise for a tighter connection of the binding.
We are really glad to see more companies innovating and contributing to make splitboarding equipment evolve.
