Jones Explorer 2017-18

DESCRIPTION

The Explorer Splitboard is perfect for yo-yo’ing backcountry pow laps or a heavy huck session as the floaty, freeride nose is matched with a freestyle tail. Directional Rocker makes it easy to butter or stomp and the Traction Tech provides confident stability riding through tech terrain or unexpectedly rough snow conditions. On the skin track back up, the inner edge Traction Tech adds serious grip. Though the price is right, the Explorer Split doesn’t skimp on performance features. The Sintered 7000 base is hyper fast and factory waxed with Wend Natural Wax. The Explorer Split also features an ECO-plastic topsheet made from castor beans for added ECO-performance.

Another splitboard that makes you feel super comfortable the moment you strap your binders. Hands down, the most versatile board on the 2017-18 Jones Snowboards catalogue, and one of the most polyvalent boards we have tested these past few years. Swift, fast, fun and forgiving; it does it all, and it does it fine: from exposed powder lines to freestyle sessions where you can display your whole array of tricks. A board that could suit just about everyone; from riders taking their baby splitboarding steps, to riders who know how to apply pressure to a board. All this, without compromising on any of the classic Jones Snowboard signature features: directional rocker, Magne-traction and a freestyle shaped tail that adds to a truly versatile board.
