Furberg Freeride Split 2018-19

The Freeride Split was developed to tackle any kind of snow and terrain you might find in the backcountry.

The combination of high-speed stability, maneuverability and catch-free properties has made the Freeride Split one of the most talked about splitboards of the past few years. Its long sidecut radius makes the splitboard calm and forgiving, while the rocker and reverse sidecut in nose and tail makes it float remarkably well in powder and remain catch free.

Furberg keeps opting for a reverse sidecut and a longer sidecut radius, but not as extreme as in previous versions. With this change, the Furberg Freeride split has become a much more versatile board and one of the testers’ favorite, both for men and women choosing the smaller sizes.  The combination of rocker and reverse sidecut on the tail and nose, makes it very quick from edge to edge and provide excellent float on deep snow. On the other hand, the longer sidecut radius, along with the light traditional camber, makes the Freeride a truly solid and stable board at high speed and when facing steep terrain. The Freeride is a board that performs perfectly in all kinds of snow and terrain, quickly adapting to your riding style.
